    1. Hi Martin! My pleasure! I had a blast catching up with all of the superb and rather relevant links I have bumped into over the course of 2011, so the least I could do is to share some link love for that great blog post you put together as well! Thanks much!!

And Happy New Year to you, too! 🙂

  1. Hi Luis. Thanks for the interesting read – and all the very best for 2012. “Live Social. Do Business” – what a great exhortation 🙂

    1. Hiya, Anne Marie! Thanks much for dropping by and for the kind comments! Appreciated the warm wishes! Me, too, would want to wish you a Happy, Prosperous and rather Healthy 2012 and beyond! Here’s to another wonderful year, where, if things work out all right, I will be visiting London a few times this year, so would be looking forward to the prospect of meeting up F2F! 😀

      I will be in touch!

  2. Hi Luis.

Loving your world without email story, as ever!

I’d love to publish a condensed version of this post in the next edition of “Social Brands” – would that be okay?

    Many thanks,
    Jemima

    1. Hiya Jemima! W00t!! Many thanks for those greatly appreciated comments and for the kind wishes! Yes, absolutely! I will be delighted with you tearing apart this massively huge blog post into whatever components or quotes you would use to re-use for the next edition of the “Social Brands”; it’s one of my top, most read blog posts of the year for 2011, so it’s the least I could do to help out spread the word out! Feel free to reuse at your convenience, Jemima!

And Happy New Year, too! 😀

      1. Thanks Luis – happy new year to you, too!
I’ve edited down and will send you a link when the newsletter’s gone out – will be Tuesday 17 Jan. Thanks again – great stuff!
        Jemima

  3. Luis

As a fellow IBMer your thought leadership has made me “attempt” to stop sending more than 10 emails per day. This New Years resolution was achieved so far. Issue is as the IBM Business Unit Exec for ICS in Australia and New Zealand I have abundant business controls, approvals and these all come into my inbox. Hopefully my leadership will become contagious and the intent will spread. Certainly amongst my team the volumes are dropping and Connections is the valve.

Please keep up your great work

    Regards

    James

  4. What a thoughtful and thorough experience! I’ve often felt that much of my e-mail communication could be solidified or paired down just by limiting the amount of content I send out a week and waiting until I have 4-5 things to send a person as opposed to 1 quick note. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness on this issue and I wish you luck! I won’t be using my e-mail on 12/12/12!

  5. Hi Luis, while we are all pondering about what does the advent of the social enterprise mean for the Manager/Leader, you are a step ahead offering answers. I absolutely enjoy and appreciate your blog and keep coming back – a) to check up on what your blog theme will be next; and b) to marvel over your amazing photography! Looking forward to the next on both fronts!

    1. Hi Iva, thanks much for dropping by and much appreciated the kind feedback and thoughtful comments! I am glad the blog has been helpful in a number of different areas and perhaps along for Managers and Leaders, too! I am not sure whether you may have read this blog post, or not, but if you haven’t, it may help out as well to highlight what would be coming next for Managers / Leaders 🙂

With regards to your follow-up comments on upcoming themes, I am already working on a) but it’s perhaps a little bit too early to announce or discuss it further. Hoping to be blogging about it soon enough! hehe

On b) Thanks!! Yes, I know what you mean, and all of that from a simple amateur like myself. I guess the island where I have been living the last 8 years is stunning enough to help me make great photography and share it across! Glad you are enjoying it. If you ever come to Gran Canaria do let me know. I will gladly tour you around to check some of the places you already know from the photography, but in real life. Quite a difference, too!

Thanks again for the feedback, Iva! Much appreciated! Speak soon!
