  1. Even i have known many friends who always worked from home and envied them earlier thinking what was it about the work that i did that couldn’t be done from home and never got convincing answers. But today Covid has opened up so many avenues. It’s like necessity is the mother of invention. Wish companies remain as open going forward instead of returning to traditional ways of working.

    1. Hi, Pooja,

Thanks a lot for dropping by and for the great feedback shared above! Indeed, necessity is the mother of all inventions, but, then again, so has been motivation. And in this particular case, it’s all been about motivation, or, better said, the lack of motivation, for most organisations to ignore, neglect the impact of all of these social, digital tools to help us transform the way we connect, share, collaborate and learn with our peers, regardless of wherever or whenever they may well be!

Alas, the genie is now out of the bottle and after the last couple of years it’s going to be almost impossible to put it back in. And those organisations that do will see how their employees will be voting with their feet in search for greener pastures, as you well stated for all of those other businesses that have finally understood what it is like ‘work from anywhere’ while reaping all the benefits.

I’ll be talking a whole lot more about these topics over the next few days / weeks, so that we can have a better understanding of the shifts ahead of us and what we, knowledge Web workers, can do about them. Many thanks, once more, for the feedback!

      Fun times ahead! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

    1. Hi, Duane,

Thanks a lot for dropping by and for the wonderful feedback! I am really glad to read this post has been helpful and relevant in helping clarifying some key terms I think we would need to consider, if we ought to progress further into embracing and adapting accordingly to distributed work. Much obliged, Duane, for the lovely commentary! 🙏🏻😊

You would be pleased to know I am currently working on something I am hoping to be able to launch in September (or early October) that may help a fair bit with the situation you’re going through with your current employer. I can’t say much more at the moment, but I have made a note to reach out to you privately (via LI DM) to explain some more when it’s all ready to go!

I sense you’re going to like it a fair bit, but still need to finish up a bunch of prep work on it, before I can announce it. Please, stay tuned for more info details coming up soon! 😅😎👍🏻
