Ted Demopoulos – What No One Ever Tells You About Blogging and Podcasting
You could probably say that I am rather busy at the moment with plenty of different things going on at the moment. You know how it goes. Sometimes it appears that you would probably need more hours in the day to get things done ! Well, the last few weeks have been just like that. So much so that I am still catching up with most of the KM feeds I am subscribed to and why I have linked very little to other weblog posts. But not to worries, as I feel that I would be done with that final catchup some time over the next few days. I am almost there. However, I just wanted to write this weblog post to remind me of something important that I just cannot forget getting it done soon enough. And that is ordering a copy of the upcoming book from Ted Demopoulos titled What No One Ever Tells You About Blogging and Podcasting – Real-Life Advice from 101 People Who Successfully Leverage the Power of the Blogosphere.
Apart from being able to pre-order it from Amazon.com you would also be able to get a copy from Barnes & Noble and 800 CEO Read and I must say that from what I have been reading over at Blogging for Business it sounds like it would be the perfect read for the next few weeks, whenever it becomes available. You can read some more about it over at What No One Ever Tells You About Blogging and Podcasting; including both the table of contents and the links.
And if you head over there you will see as well why I am also very much interested in getting a copy of the book. Ted contacted me, and a whole bunch of folks, a few months ago to actually participate in the book sharing our two cents worth of comments on what impact weblogging was (Still is) having in our daily jobs and our areas of expertise. And, of course, facing such offer it is something that you just cannot ignore, right? So I agreed with Ted and decided to chime in sharing my thoughts on that very same subject. And that is why under Some Business Uses of Blogs you would be able to find out a section on Knowledge Management by me. So I cannot wait to read that part and see what it would look like and how it would be merging with the rest of the topics discussed throughout the book.
As you would be able to see in that same homepage for the Table of Contents and Links you would be able to build up a very good reading material subscribing to the different weblogs that people, who have participated in the book, have got. Thus that is another good reason to get a copy of the book. See how their views in the book match the topics of discussion and expertise from their own weblogs. I have already subscribed to a number of them for some time now and it would be interesting how they would both match. We shall see.
Now I just need to manage, one of these days, to get hold of Ted and perhaps do an interview with him about his experiences putting the book together and everything else. I know that a few folks have already done so as detailed over Blogging for Business but I think it would be equally fun. So since I know that Ted reads this weblog on a regular basis, Ted, are you up to the job? Do you fancy doing an interview for the readers of elsua.net and share your experiences on putting together such a fine piece of work ? Let me know …
So there you go, another book that will be added into my ever growing list of reading materials. As soon as I have got my hands on a copy of it I shall all let you know and at the same time I will probably venture into writing a little overview to give you a few hints on what you can expect from it. So stay tuned for more updates to come …
